Books a year in review on Goodreads!

It's no secret that I LOVE Goodreads. If you are an avid reader and aren't on there, you simply must join!

I did a big summer book review, but I thought it would be fun for you all to see the 44 books I did read during 2016!

So out of all the books I read this year, I'd say the top 5 I read were:

Find Her, The Lost Girls, Me Before You, Behind Closed Doors, & Orphan Train. All of these you can't go wrong should you chose to read them! :) 

My goal is still to try and read as much as I can before baby boy M arrives in June. I know I won't have much energy once he is here to read as feverishly as I did before!

Mister Wonderful & I hate a movie date night and I picked CRAZY STUPID LOVE.

This is one movie that ISNT given away by the previews they have shown all summer long. 


I really liked it! Perfect date movie. 


It was so nice to see Marisa Tomei on screen. She hasn't aged a bit!

And I was first told about Dogeared Jewels by the lovely Jessica (does anyone else think I talk about her incessantly on here? hahah bestie blog buddy!)

Isn't it so dainty?! Like Jess said, it goes with everything and is so small not overbearing to take away from outfits and such.

Why does everything cater around I PHONE ?

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE APPLE. I will never go back to being a PC girl. E V E R. My macbook runs just like the day I bought it which was over 3 yrs ago. It's been the best purchase investment technology-wise I've ever made. 

But with that being said..........

I DONT feel the same when it comes to CELL PHONES! Why must everything cater to Iphone people? 

They make some of the cutest cell phone cases and guess what.....they are only available for the I phone. BLAH. Not cool.

And yet you guessed it........I phone only. Poo. Not cool. Same goes for all those cute monogramed cellphone cases that you see on Etsy or where ever. Humbug. 

Terrific Etsy Finds!

Hope everyone recovered from the 4th of July!

 I had Mister Wonderful take my photo of my casual outfit worn, along with my new Etsy purchases!

I have been wanting some type of a bag to carry my DSLR in, that wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg, and also have some type of protection in the bag to keep the camera from getting scratched. So often I see random strangers in check out lines that have their camera just loosely hanging out in a purse full of loose change, car keys and junk that scratches anything and everything.

Enter Flipped Bird!!!

I first found this bag in a store here in Phoenix called The Grande Orange. It's like a pizza/sandwich restaurant slash also has gift shop with very unique things it it for sale. I saw the bag hanging near the registers, and really took a liking to it. Well, I didn't have any money that day to be buying anything so I had to leave. The next day was pay day, and I called the store to see if the yellow bag was still there. It wasn't. :(  Thankfully, I had written down the tag that said Flippedbird.com on it. Yes!! A website! I was praying I'd see the bag online. I hopped on Etsy and contacted the shop's owner Marci and told her about my dilemma! Bless her heart, she had my yellow bag at her house, and was going to ship it to me asap.

Okay, now enter my second etsy purchase. I needed something to protect my camera in the bag. I stumbled upon this shop on Etsy too.

these camera inserts have 2 inch padding and easily fit into a purse/bag of your choice! 

This store also offers handmade camera bags/totes but I was so in love with my bag from Flipped Bird, that I just went with the insert.

Some of you may be asking, what was wrong with the camera bag that Nikon gave me with the purchase of my camera? Well, for starters, I was carrying my purse and a camera bag. I looked like the bag lady. Too many bags to be constantly hauling around. The Purse insert has pockets all around the edges making it perfect to also carry my ID and money on me too. Thus, I can leave the big purse behind and just have everything in one bag.

Great Find From Back in December found TODAY!

Remember way back in December (read old post here) when I blogged about these adorable canisters, and how bad I wanted them, but didn't want to pay the 50 ish plus bucks for them?

Well guess what I got at TJMAXX today........

and for only SIX DOLLARS. SIX DOLLARS Y'ALL!!! 

What a steal! 

All three sizes were at TJMAXX too! I highly recommend if you wanted one, to check out your local TJ's to see if you can find one! 

I have to brag about Walmart right now. Er below rather. This is the best sugar free sweet tea I have EVER drank. No lie. I swear. Mister Wonderful and I have been weening off our Snapple diet, as sadly we took a good look at the back and reminded ourselves that it contains ASPARTAME in it...aka known to cause cancer........ Aspartame is found in ALL diet drinks. Not good girls. 

Well how is it that this sweet tea that contains no sugar taste so good without aspartame you say?
