A few of my favorites

Our Photographer took over 1,000 photos. To be honest, looking at ALL the photos is quite exhausting and time consuming. I know tons of bloggers break down their wedding pictures throughout the week, but I'm keeping it simple.

These are some of my favorite!

Enjoy!

PS anyone that tries to pin these to pinterest, please DONT! Copyright prohibited!

Thanks!

Photo Book

You'll love Shutterfly's award-winning photo books. Try it today. Just a heads up friends, you have to click the link that says view this photo book larger to see the album... for whatever reason Shutterfly's little widget isn't loading on my page just at a glance!

Video from our trip

Facebook actually took down this video which really made me mad! They didn't take down the other Video Star video I made on my birthday so I'm not sure what the deal is.
Anyhow, we only shot 2 small super short clips from our trip. Videos are such a pain to upload!

This was 2 days before our wedding, when we actually saw Shipwreck beach for the first time. It was then we knew this was the beach we wanted to be married on!

This second video is of my brother (he's 25) and is a self taught guitar player! He learned from YOUTUBE video tutorials! I mean really?!!?

I'll explain more about the Ukulele later in another post, but I thought I would share this little diddy he played for us!

We're Back!

Got home late late late last night and have only had 4 hours of sleep. Couldn't wait to go and pick up Aspen from Petsmart Pet Hotel. She went bananas! I have our wedding pictures from our Photographer already too! I just need about 10 + hours to find the time to share them and even go through them ourselves. I resume teaching on Monday, and haven't even been in my classroom to set up. That pretty much takes up my Friday (tomorrow) to play classroom set up catch up.

Have so many blogs to catch up on, do forgive me I am going to try to get around to reading what I've missed while I was away!

From Miss to Mrs.!

I just wanted to log in real quick and officially announce that I am a MARRIED woman now!

Our internet connection out on Kauai is TERRIBLE thus making it uber hard to upload anything to share with others! :(

Here's at least one sneak peek!

I'm Getting Married

I've always loved this scene in Father of the Bride.

"Recognize this little actress? In case you forgot ( all you early 90s kiddos) She was best known for her roles in the movies Beethoven and Beethoven's 2nd as Emily Newton (the youngest daughter of the characters played by Charles Grodin and Bonnie Hunt), and Kindergarten Cop (1990), where she played a pupil of the kindergarten teacher Arnold Schwarzenegger. She also featured as a young Annie Banks in the film Father of the Bride."
*Little tidbit taken from Wikipedia

Speaking of Bride....

I'm getting married in 10 Days! So pardon my absence friends my posting may be very light this week if any at all due to the closing of our first house, then moving 2 days before our wedding in Hawaii!

Aloha~

Vow Inspiration

“Ever since I was young, I never really understood anything about the world. And, I never understood anything that happened in my life. The only thing that ever made sense to me was you, and how I felt about you. That’s, all I’ve ever known. And that’s enough.”

-Corey Matthews (Boy Meets World Season 7, Episode 7)

We Are by Joy Williams on Grooveshark
"We Are" by Joy Williams
I love this song, ironically it's the theme song to the trailer "The Vow"
I'm still working on the writing my own Vows bit. It's hard work! Every time I write something down, I scratch it out, take words out, add another word in, and then I feel like I'm back at square one. I'm afraid I'll say the wrong thing!
I started off the beginning of our vows talking about Facebook.
Why facebook you ask?
It's how Mister Wonderful and I met! Not sure if I ever shared that story on here or not!

We interrupt Tuesday's Regular Post! I NEED YOUR ADVICE!

Dear Bloggers,
I need your help!
Last night, my wedding band arrived. And as you can see, it's a little "Off" with lining up with my engagement ring! There is a space. I am seeing this seems to be due to the prongs on my engagement ring, that the prongs are a little out and thus pushes anything next to the band away! :( :(
I don't know what type of band I am suppose to be looking for to correct this problem! I know there are several of you that have a similar engagement ring to mine, and was wondering how does one correct this problem!?
ADVICE PLEASE!!!!!!

Band Bling!

So yesterday on Twitter and Instagram, I took a poll, just for curiosity sake to see what other gals would choose for a wedding band. Here were the options.

 30 instagrammers gave their input!
9 voted for A
17 voted for B

I picked both of these options, but ultimately the final decision was my fiance's since he was the one buying it! :)

And you know which one he picked???

..........:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::Drum ROLL::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::............

Option B Won!

I was leaning towards B because I'm pretty adamant about not wanting a thick band...a thicker band will push my engagement ring up higher on my finger, and thus I don't think it would fit my finger right anymore. I also didn't want a band that would take away from my ring either. Option B was very dainty and very me. So Glad the Mister has great taste as do all you instagrammers!

Vows

I spent a good part of the weekend watching countless videos on Vimeo and such to gather inspiration for writing my wedding vows to Mister Wonderful. I figured out what I wanted to write in a card to him the day of the wedding. I found this ADORABLE card on Etsy that I think I'll purchase for him!

(image is linked above)

If only this type of videography was a part of our wedding package!

I love her hair in this video! :)

This is still hands down my fave wedding video I've seen.

Gene + Jill // Two Pease in a Pod from capture studios on Vimeo.

Any suggestions or sites I could check to get some writing inspiration for wedding vows?

I suppose when in doubt I could just say what they said in "The Vow", no? hehe

To the Husband to be...wedding gift?

I'm new at this y'all.

Married peeps, please put your 2 cents in and help a gal out!

I have NO IDEA what to get Mister Wonderful as a wedding gift.
From what I have read on other blogs, it seems that the wedding gift to each other are usually pretty "big" gifts.
Big can mean expensive, big can mean not your typical, "oh here honey-- I bought you some shaving cream and razors while I was at the store type gift!"

Mister Wonderful has a few watches already so that's out.

We already have a dog

(thanks though for the input idea Mrs. Monologues lol he'd flip if I brought up wanting another one!)

Ideas?

Wedding Fear

The only fear I worry.dread.fear. on my wedding day, is being disappointed with my hair.
I am a FREAK about my hair. No joke.

My fear you ask?

My fear is that on my "big day", that I will be unhappy with my hair do. So often hair stylists like to give me the "prom" look. Y'all know what I mean by that right?

This look

Case in point I was in my friend's wedding in 2009 and paid 90 dollars for what I thought was going to be a fancy UP DO that I couldn't do myself right?

WRONG

I was furious. Unfortunately I let my big head er hair get the best of me, and I shed a few tears for all the wrong reasons on my best friends wedding. Selfish? Probably. I was just mad I paid so much money for hair do that I curl all the time without the assistance of a stylist!

So what constitutes as a non prom up do look?

*these 2 pictures are of a girl I went to HS with borrowed them off FB :)

this picture is the ONLY pic on pinterest and such that I have REALLY liked for an updo

These pictures depict hair styles I know for a fact that I cannot do myself.

I'm more than likely going to have my hair all the way up. It will be extremely windy along the beach, and what's the point in a hair style styled down, when the curls will get all knotted and such?

I don't know! I keep changing my mind!

Another factor I have to deal with is going to salon in Hawaii that obviously I've never been to, so I'm hoping that won't be a disaster. We are in fact flying into Hawaii 2 days early, so that is 2 days I can of trial hair!

All I know is, NO PROM HAIR!
