Hello lovelies! I am blogging via my cell which is so not the same as my laptop! I felt like I was going through blogging withdrawls, esp not being able to have access to my dashboard!!
Chicago was great!

Sped through Indiana and spent a few days in Toledo Ohio. I'm now in Cleveland till Tuesday.. I cannot wait to get home to my fur baby and of course share some new pictures taken with my NIKON!!

Why does everything cater around I PHONE ?

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE APPLE. I will never go back to being a PC girl. E V E R. My macbook runs just like the day I bought it which was over 3 yrs ago. It's been the best purchase investment technology-wise I've ever made. 

But with that being said..........

I DONT feel the same when it comes to CELL PHONES! Why must everything cater to Iphone people? 

They make some of the cutest cell phone cases and guess what.....they are only available for the I phone. BLAH. Not cool.

And yet you guessed it........I phone only. Poo. Not cool. Same goes for all those cute monogramed cellphone cases that you see on Etsy or where ever. Humbug. 

Movie Review For July

Over the weekend, Mister Wonderful and I went to see this

I made Mister Wonderful watch the first 2 the day before we went to see this. He really enjoyed them! I know a lot of people are often skeptical about films based on childhood comics, but Michael Bay does such an amazing job with the special effects it just astounds me how far the world of technology has come. 




And Megan Fox WHO? She was NOT missed in the film. More like HELLO ROSIE

Liam Neeson is a terrific actor. NONE of his films ever disappoint me. This one reminded me a lot of his other film called "Taken" which scared the crap outta me about traveling alone EVER. ha. I'd recommend renting this one!

Vacation!

Just wanted to let y'all know I am headed

Not the most exciting destination vacation, but I haven't been 'home' to Chi town in over 2 years, and same with Ohio. I haven't seen my Grandparents in 2 years, so this trip is much over due as time is never on the elderly folk's side, right? I don't know if I am going to lug my laptop with me to try and blog, when I'm suppose to be on 'vacation'. I can blog from my cell, but my posts will be less than grand I'm sure. 


Once I return, I will return to blogging in full swing! Not being able to read everyones updates and posts and see pictures is going to be brutal! 


I shall return! 

Tail Wagging Tues Vol 9

Howdy bloggers! It's been a month or so off of tail wagging tuesday, but today we have ourselves a link up!

Since we haven't had it for a wee bit, today's topic is:

 just to share some pics of your fur babies enjoying their summers thus far :)

This is how Aspen has been spending her summer. Remember, when 

it's 110 degrees by noon, here in Arizona,this is all

 I tend to do too!

And our thermostat is set at 78! (77 at night)

Oh yes folks. Not only does baby girl have her own floor fan in the living room,she gets to use one in our bedroom too. Seriously though, it's always worth it. Then I don't see/hear her panting like it's to hot for her.

I get mighty mad at pet owners who I see walk their pets outside

 around the afternoon times. Don't get 

what I mean? slip your flip flop off in AZ and touch the cement 

with your foot. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!! That's 

what you will feel. It's scalding hot. Now imagine trying to force 

a dog to walk on it. NO THANKS.

Terrific Etsy Finds!

Hope everyone recovered from the 4th of July!

 I had Mister Wonderful take my photo of my casual outfit worn, along with my new Etsy purchases!

I have been wanting some type of a bag to carry my DSLR in, that wasn't going to cost me an arm and a leg, and also have some type of protection in the bag to keep the camera from getting scratched. So often I see random strangers in check out lines that have their camera just loosely hanging out in a purse full of loose change, car keys and junk that scratches anything and everything.

Enter Flipped Bird!!!

I first found this bag in a store here in Phoenix called The Grande Orange. It's like a pizza/sandwich restaurant slash also has gift shop with very unique things it it for sale. I saw the bag hanging near the registers, and really took a liking to it. Well, I didn't have any money that day to be buying anything so I had to leave. The next day was pay day, and I called the store to see if the yellow bag was still there. It wasn't. :(  Thankfully, I had written down the tag that said Flippedbird.com on it. Yes!! A website! I was praying I'd see the bag online. I hopped on Etsy and contacted the shop's owner Marci and told her about my dilemma! Bless her heart, she had my yellow bag at her house, and was going to ship it to me asap.

Okay, now enter my second etsy purchase. I needed something to protect my camera in the bag. I stumbled upon this shop on Etsy too.

these camera inserts have 2 inch padding and easily fit into a purse/bag of your choice! 

This store also offers handmade camera bags/totes but I was so in love with my bag from Flipped Bird, that I just went with the insert.

Some of you may be asking, what was wrong with the camera bag that Nikon gave me with the purchase of my camera? Well, for starters, I was carrying my purse and a camera bag. I looked like the bag lady. Too many bags to be constantly hauling around. The Purse insert has pockets all around the edges making it perfect to also carry my ID and money on me too. Thus, I can leave the big purse behind and just have everything in one bag.

And for those of you who aren't into Hendrix and his electric guitar sound, Here's some Carrie Underwood for ya.

Susie Homemaker = Epic Fail

So there is this recipe floating around the web for Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies  And I thought why not right? Look at how they are suppose to turn out right?

Ingredients:

2 sticks softened butter

3/4 Cup packed light brown sugar

1 Cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 Tablespoon pure vanilla

3 1/2 Cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

10 oz. bag chocolate chips

1 bag Oreo Cookies

Directions:

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 

2. Cream butter and sugars until well combined.  Add in eggs (one at a  time) and vanilla until well combined.

3.  In a separate bowl mix the flour, salt and baking soda.  Slowly add to wet ingredients along with chocolate chips until just combined.  Using a cookie scoop take one scoop of cookie dough and place on top of an Oreo Cookie.  Take another scoop of dough and place on bottom of Oreo Cookie.  Seal edges together by pressing and cupping in hand until Oreo Cookie is enclosed with dough.  Place onto a parchment lined baking sheet and bake cookies 9-13 minutes.

And ya wanna know what they turn out as?

Um yeah. Anybody wanna help me figure out how one follows a recipe to the "T" and yet they come out HUGE? They look like cookies on steroids!!! hahah.

I think I shall leave the baking to Michabella! (a fellow blogger) because clearly I suck at it!
