We interrupt Tuesday's Regular Post! I NEED YOUR ADVICE!

Dear Bloggers,
I need your help!
Last night, my wedding band arrived. And as you can see, it's a little "Off" with lining up with my engagement ring! There is a space. I am seeing this seems to be due to the prongs on my engagement ring, that the prongs are a little out and thus pushes anything next to the band away! :( :(
I don't know what type of band I am suppose to be looking for to correct this problem! I know there are several of you that have a similar engagement ring to mine, and was wondering how does one correct this problem!?
ADVICE PLEASE!!!!!!

  1. Try a contoured band. They curve around where it goes by your stone. My friend has one and it sits flush to her engagement ring because of the contouring.

  2. ok, have you gone to the jeweler to see what they can do? and BTW my wedding ring does not exactly touch my engagement ring at the top near the stone either...

  3. My engagement ring looks just like that. I ended up having a band made that is considered a "ring guard." I think that's what you call it or maybe it's called an enhancer. Either way, if you want, I can email you a pic if that helps:)

My ring sits in the middle of the two bands.

  4. I believe you can take your ring to the jeweler where it is from and they can adjust this for you. My ring did the same exact thing and the person that made the ring had to shave just a teensy bit of metal down to make the ring fit in just right. I don't have my rings sautered (sometimes I just wear the band) and sometimes they naturally drift apart on my finger. If your jeweler can't adjust it this way, he or she may suggest a new band with a higher prong set so that your band can fit naturally underneath it. I'm not sure of the turnaround time on either of these options...shouldn't take more than a few days though.

  5. I had the same problem with my ring - it is an emerald cut. I ended up going with this band - http://www.kay.com/product1%7C10101%7C10001%7C-1%7C40738700%7C15051%7C15051.15058.15111 - it works perfectly because it has the little 'dip' that allows for my prongs to stick out. Good luck!

  6. Thank you all so much for these tips and such! I was worried that we had really purchased the "wrong" band! LOL

  7. I think they look pretty even with the space! I know they make bands with a slight dip/curve to allow for some types of settings. My rings line up perfectly, but that's because they are a set. I don't think it would bother me if they didn't line up. Your rings are lovely!

  8. I think it looks wonderful. I think I might be weird, I kinda like the separated look!!! If you don't like it, definitely take it to your jeweler, they create something to fix it. BUT if the wedding is close, wait til after the wedding!!! I had to get mine fixed and I was on pins and needles because I almost didnt get it back before the wedding!!

  9. Because you have two rings, they don't need to sit flush, it looks beautiful the way it is!

  10. I have an "enhancer" or a "jacket" on mine, that fits with my ring exactly. My engagement ring is exactly like yours-slim band, four prong with one big-ass diamond in the middle :)

  11. I think it looks good! But try a contoured ring as a few of the other ladies suggested :D

  12. I think it looks good too! But, I also liked the solitaire and enhancers that were straight across like that, but my fiance hated any "gap." I'm not sure what his reasoning was, but regardless, I ended up with an engagement ring and a contoured band.

  13. I have a emerald cut halo and have two wedding bands very similar to yours. I wear both wedding bands under the engagement ring and neither of them are soldered together. Because of the halo's shape, there's a pretty big gap. I love the look they they are all their own piece. I also like that I can take off the big ring when I'm at the house or working out and keep my wedding rings on. Something else to think about... :-)

  14. Mine has a slight space because of my prongs- but I really didn't notice until you had pointed yours out:-) The rings will slide apart on your finger even if they aren't flush up to each other anyway. Glad you're keeping it- it looks gorgeous!

    1. After an hour of talking to people on blogger, instagram, texting friends pictures lol we all came to the general concensus that there was nothing wrong with the way they are/were lol

  17. I love the gap. My rings have a pretty significant gap and I actually picked them out that way.

  18. I love it!!!

My ring has the same problem. They told me if I didn't want the gap then I would have to have the band custom made to fit perfect. and it was going to cost 3x more than it would without the space.
4 Years later, honestly I love the gap!! :)

  19. Most jewelers can custom make a band for your ring. However, it will have a slight curve and you will never be able to wear the band alone. I have a straight band with a curved ring. It doesn't bother me. I only wear my band to work because I have to wear gloves my ring sits up high.

  20. oooh, i think a lot of people have this issue! mine fits together because it's a set that's designed to go together... but i think some people also just get a wedding band made that curves to fit around the engagement ring. or just leave the little gap! but i guess if the gap is gonna drive you crazy, it may be worth it to look into one that can just fit around your ring. just personal pref i suppose :) so pretty, though! i bet you are so so excited!!

  22. Mine did the same thing. I have an asscher cut solitaire. I ended up getting a wrap. It protects the engagement ring and makes it look like one big ring.
