A Trip Down Memory Lane

So this morning's blog is coming from http://muchlove-anna.blogspot.com/ who asked what was a favorite childhood toy?  I had more than one, but at certain ages I definitely played with certain toys more than others. I L O V E D dolls. I was such a doll girl. Anything with hair and clothes I was set. One of our first family photos of my mom my dad and I, depicts me holding my favorite strawberry shortcake doll! I would scan it, but since I am moving tomorrow, all my photos are packed up!

From age 3-7 I played a lot with these

Then from the ages 8-10 I really was into the American Girl Doll series. Now when these first were released, there were only 3 dolls! Kirsten, Samantha, & Molly. They had the dolls tied with stories about their lives during specific time periods in the United States. Molly's time was during World War II. Now there are so many dolls I don't even know them all.  I think the company lost their value when they came up with the concept of kids being able to create their own doll.

Thankfully my Grandma is storing Molly for me in her basement, till one day when I have a HOUSE of my own, I can store her safely and maybe one day give her to a child of mine.

Any favorites of yours?

Work in Progress

Well I Finally figured out how to create my header. I must admit I have had a hella time figuring out this font bit. In fact I have asked 5 bloggers on how to just have fancy font as blog titles and NOT A ONE responded for my plea of help! Sad. These people that I asked have cute fun font, and apparently have all the time in the world to continually update their pages, yet answering a question from a fellow blogger in need is apparently to much to ask. :( sad face. So I ask YOU my ten followers, How do I just have fun font as my blog post/titles, and regular font for the descriptions? I cannot figure it out! Everytime I change part of the code it changes the WHOLE THING into the fancy font. Well hopefully someone will read this and be able to help...till then I guess it's back to searching the net for help!

Together, not together, married, still married, then divorced.

I saw this idea on many others blog, I think the post is suppose to be Favorite Fridays and yet today is sunday. Whoops. There are no rules to blogging right? I mean write what you want when you want!
So after glancing at Life Love and Puppy Prints Blog, I decided to come up with my own list of Celeb break ups.

Here's my list:
Current 2010 Break Ups
Jake and Vienna. I don't think anyone can say they weren't surprised with this one!

Even Zach Morris from Saved By the Bell couldn't keep it together....they were married for 13 years!

Reality stars from The Housewives of Orange County Simon and Tamra. Married 11 yrs. 3 children together.

Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carey. Boo. Thumbs Down. They seemed like a terrific match!

The saddest break up of my time (in my opinion) is...
Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey. I was devastated when I found out about all the rumors of her not wearing her ring in the tabloids were true and then BAM! They split. I owned all the DVDs of their Newlyweds series.
I don't think the filming of them is what hurt the relationship, they have always been on camera for their careers. I think when Jess filmed Dukes of Hazzard and all those rumors surfaced of her and Johnny Knoxville surfaced really pushed Nick whose career was going down, really did them in. Maybe I thought they stood a chance because she waited all those years for Nick to be her 'first'. Maybe the fact that she ripped out a page in her journal, and gave it as a wedding gift to Nick about how the day they met, she wrote that she had met the man she was going to marry. I was touched and drawn by this couple. Sigh.
Well, Lachey, he probably feels Jess got what she deserved. Her dog got snatched in hollywood, the last 2 to 3 guys Jess has been with bailed on her, and her country career plummented into the depths of no return.  Tear. So sad.  They would have made beautiful babies! haha.

I am H A P P Y  to list the below couples in Hollywood today that are STILL very much in love and very much together.

Annette Benning and Warren Beatty.  Married 22 years. ( I accidentally typed 27 there bec I was tired my bad) Warren was known for being the everlasting bachelor.  Who would have thought his marriage would last.  It’s nice to see that Hollywood is capable of having marriages that have lasted the test of time.

Kevin Bacon & Kyra Sedgwick. 22 yrs of marriage. I think they are awesome. She has a hit tv show, and he plays music in a band now when he doesn't do little acting bits. They are never in the spotlight at all which is terrific.
John Travolta & Kelly Preston. Married 18 yrs. And through all their recent turmoil of the loss of their son Jett, they are still so strong.

Paul Neuman & JoanneWoodward. Married 50 years! ! !

Paul said this on marriage and I couldn't agree more!
Paul Newman on marriage: “I’ve repeatedly said that for people who have as little in common as Joanne and myself, we have an uncommonly good marriage. We are actors. We make pictures and that’s about all we have in common. Maybe that’s enough. Wives shouldn’t feel obligated to accompany their husbands to a ball game, husbands do look a bit silly attending morning coffee breaks with the neighborhood wives when most men are out at work. Husbands and wives should have separate interests, cultivate different sets of friends and not impose on the other ... You can’t spend a lifetime breathing down each other’s necks ... We are very, very different people and yet somehow we fed off those varied differences and instead of separating us, it has made the whole bond a lot stronger.”

His wife said this:
Joanne on love and marriage: "Sexiness wears thin after a while and beauty fades, but to be married to a man who makes you laugh every day, ah, now that's a real treat."

My older man crush is def Paul. RIP Mr. Neuman. You were quite the hunk when you were young!

Remake remake remake...

I have to bust some chops. LOL
I feel like the movie industry has run out of ideas, and the only idea in their head is to waste money and remake the classics. The Karate Kid for example. Are you for real? You can't out do the only thing that Ralph Macchio was ever famous for! Not to mention that it's a classic of the 80s. Something you just don't touch! In fact I am making fun of anyone that is lame enough to waste money to see Will Smith's remake. So disappointing.

What's next remaking Top Gun? It just can't be done!

As for music, I will admit I LOVE the song Alejandro by Lady Gaga. Before anyone even gave i a thought I was jamming to it in my car. Her video was such a disappointment. I know she's weird, but all I saw when watching her video was Madonna's video Like a prayer.  Why can't they come up with their own ideas?!

Here's a throwback to Madonna, whom I think Lady GaGa totally stole all her ideas from!

And my other music copier......I love Ciara's Ride.  Pretty sweet song. Don't like so much that the whole dance sequence in her video all i saw was Janet Jackson's Pleasure Principle video. See for yourself!

Ciara "Ride"

Maybe I'm reaching with the simlarities. Maybe I'm not. You be the judge. All I know is, these two legendary 80s singers had the idea first, and if your smart, you don't copy the original because that's all people will say, that it's been done before!

Can never have to many pet pictures!

Snuck a shot of her sleepin in her dog bed when I was driving back from Phoenix to Yuma.
The other is her being the typical pillow queen she is. Ha.
I love my pup so much, She totally steals my heart!

I think it's official to say that I am really obsessed (in a non scary way haha ) with the Bachelor.  I am sure I am not the first to say this but I KNEW that he picked Vienna not for love, but for the attention of headlines he would get for it!
I have some serious gossip magazine reading to do!

Feeling Sickly.......how come I'm not gettin well quickly!?

Gurgle. Followed by more gurgles...::::it's 3 am:::...
I'm lying in bed feeling like my bladder is going to explode.
and I got sick. From BOTH ends if ya know what I mean. I haven't vomited in over 5 years. Throwing up makes me sick (no pun intended) No literally. I cry more and harder over the fact that I have to hug the toilet than anything. The smell of vomit, seeing it, caught in my hair, my teeth. I seriously don't know how bulimic girls do that to their bodies. NO JOKE. I felt such pain from the upheaval that I just can't even fathom why any girl/or bulimic guy thinks that that feeling of pain is okay! Clearly food is meant to go down and STAY DOWN not do a reversal!

I somehow weighed myself twice today, and found I lost 4 pounds in the last 48 hours. Disgusting. I feel so weak. I just want to get better! So as I sit here and whine about feeling like poop, I'll change subjects.

So there is going to be another Bachelor/Bachelorette show starting!

And TENLEY my fave is back on it! Woo hoo! Not to mention crazy Michelle from Jake's season as well as weatherman and the crazy lawyer with the long hair. bahahahahaha.
Can't wait.

I am currently watching E! and HOLLYWORLD is on. I like her so much more on her own show than I did on the girls next door. She really does work hard that girl is insanely busy!

It Must be July!

Well...It's nearing the month of July. Which for the last 3 years has meant one thing and one thing only for this girl. MOVING TIME! I have moved every summer for the last 3 years! Crazy I know, but that's been my life!

My classroom has been packed up, now it's time to start packin up my bedroom stuff. Not much really to pack considered I have lived in a furnished house for a year, while the rest of my stuff has been in storage.

My new home..............

So dear readers ( all ten of you hehe) Do forgive me if I don't blog for a few weeks till I am settled and have the internet up and running!

Copyright what?

I have stumbled upon MANY blogs that have all these WARNINGS about my page is copyrighted blah blah stuff on it. QUESTION....
How can you copyright an image that isn't even really yours? For instance, when you google lets say in an image from last night's recap of the Bachelorette...
I'm pretty sure that image that you just searched on google ISN'T YOURS! Were you there last night working for ABC that you indeed actually photographed Ali and her men? I don't think so! So how can that picture that YOU DIDN'T take belong to you?  See my point? Okay anything WRITTEN by you like a journal entry does belong to you. I totally get that. Personal photos that you are in, I get that. But googled pictures? Come on! Not buying it. Quite frankly I find people that try to get pissed for copyrights quite TRITE and sad. It's the internet people. All ideas orginate from here these days. No one is 100% truly original! It's a blog. Isn't the point to be open and sharing of ideas? I think most agree Uh yeah!

Anyway, so back to the Bachelorette...

Ali sends home Jesse (don't know why that one was a surprise) and finally the dorky weather guy. I felt like last night's episode was kinda dull and the highlight was at the end clips where they show the guys all laughing at Justin aka wrestler who was fake fighting with Jonathan aka weatherman as if they were in a WWF match. Hilarious.

And the guy that barely gets any screen time the one I think is decent is chris n! I say good for him! He just isn't apart of all the drama the other guys bring!

And please note :) dear readers as it states on the side of my blog, unless noted, all images that don't list where they came from are usually just a GOOGLE search :)

Monday Ramblings

So today I finally got my first manicure in over 1 and a half years!!! Crazy talk right? The last time I had one was when I was the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding 2 New Years Eve ago. I've never really been one of those girls that just HAS to have her nails done every few weeks. In my profession, it's simply silly to spend all that money to only have the paint chip off the next day.  Teaching art has taught me your hands take a BEATING!  With all the constant washing, cleaning, doing everything you can imagine in an art room will pretty much wreck them!

The upside is these are in fact my REAL nails.  I thank the lord that my mom blessed me with those good jeans of nail growth!  Now how many girls can say they have NEVER had fakeys put on eh?? THIS GIRL can!
Of course I got my usual pedicure.  I take excellent care of my feet.  Especially when you work 2 jobs and are on them all the time. Not to mention I have had 2 surgeries on my feet!

All glam for Vegas in T minus 3 days!

On another note....
I recently purchased the new Christina Augilera Album.  {Bionic}. I have always loved her music. This album is really taking me a good while to get used to. The best way I can think to describe it is that it's very electronic sounding. Kinda similar to Lady Ga Ga. But in the era of Britney VS Christina...must say I have always been partial to X tina just for the pure simple fact that she can SING.  Man does she have a set of pipes!  There is real talent with her. She was categorized up with Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey in terms of women that can really hold a note!

I really like the track on her new album called As I Am. It's the only one so far that really i kinda go back to and listen to over and over.
I have to say still, my fave album by her is Stripped.

Tonight the Bachelorette is on!! They finally show what a nut job they guy Kasey really is. Ha!  I think her and Roberto are a match.  I also really like Chris N. the one guy that barely gets any screen time but there must be s o m e t h i n g there or why else would Ali keep him around right?!

Ok enough babble for now.  Off to waitress then hopefully home early enough to catch the show!
