Book Review

I finally finished
 "The Hunger Games".

Was it a good book?

Yes. Not something I would typically read.
Was it one of thee best books I've read? Uh No. Not by a long shot.
I still stand by the best two books I've read in the past 2 years have been Water For Elephants &
The Help.

Would I recommend it to others? Probably, but only if they asked.

I do plan to read the next book in the series as well.

  2. I've been trying to decide if I want to read this one. From your book shelf, it looks like we love the same books. Thanks for the tip! Ive been into Elin Hilderbrand lately. She does 'beach reds' about women who visit Nantucket. You should add her to your list. Thanks for the tip!

  3. That's SO funny that these three books were listed on this post...I finished The Help in October, am halfway through The Hunger Games-Mockingjay book, and the next book I have to read is Water for Elephants! I LOVED The Help and have it on my Netflix as my next movie to watch. So far I like the Hunger games-it's an easy read and keeps me entertained. A bit long though I think. I'm glad to hear you loved Water for Elephants-I've heard good things and am excited to read that next!

  6. I agree with you. Don't quite understand the hype. But I am in the middle of the 2nd book now and so far I like it a lot better.

  8. I just started the hunger games last week and just started the third book today! I love them, and I think they are quick reads. The Help and Water for Elephants are also among my faves. Hunger Games is just different from the other two! I always like series books though because I seem to always want more:-) I wasn't ever a big reader until about two years ago, when I became a teacher and had summers off to actually enjoy reading!
