Howdy y'all! Today's topic is::
share your pet's favorite treat(s) !
Aspen is not a treat connoisseur. Girl's gotta keep her figure if you know what I mean :) hehe
All eight pounds of her that is!
We keep her treats in a cookie jar, which usually if she hears us "bump" it by accident she finds her way to the kitchen, as she is such a smart cookie when it comes to associating sounds with food for her! :)
Aspen LOVES Mother Hubbard Dog treats. They are sold both at Petco and Petsmart.
She also loves her Billjac treats too. Here are some pics.
Anything she eats is EXTRA small in size. She has barely any teeth as it is lol so we try to make treats and chewing not seem like such a job! :)
I stuck this in front of her and she had no idea what to do. LOL I've never done that before. No, she didn't stick her nose in it either! She doesn't even take treats from my hand either. I always have to put them on the ground, then she'll come up and grab it, and run off.
Some might think I am a mean mommy, since I don't let her have treats all that often. I'd say 3 times a week and only ONE. Just as I will with kids some day, I don't want my dog to get fat or have obesity problems!

ReplyDeleteShe's such a cutie! Brandi probably wouldn't know what to do if I put her treats in front of her too! She'd be confused! HAHA
ReplyDeleteAwwww too cute! JAx is spoiled and gets a treat like twice a day! LOL. He knoww how to get his momma to give in.
ReplyDeleteHAHA Aspen is so funny! Rocky would gobbleeeeee that all up. I'm the same way though..I don't give Rocky many bones. He gets neglected in that department because I'm paranoid of them hurting his tummy.
