Wednesday Loves On My Own

No Link up for me today with Miss Jamie over at This Kind of Love. I gotta be honest, Hosting a link up has been quite exhausting! it took me T H R E E hours to go through all the entries thus far and to leave comments! What a work out! A few weren't linked right, but for the most part I was able to get back to everyone for their participation!

So first and foremost, THANK YOU so much for all who participated! The great beauty of sharing our fur babies is also to discover all whole new section of people who blog! I saw so many new pages and people that I am looking forward to reading more about!

Back to my Wednesday Loves.....

I must review "WATER FOR ELEPHANTS". I am so disappointed in any blogger that said this book was Slow. Are you serious? I am the queen for picking slow books and this book was by far NOT SLOW!!!!

I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

Can I say that again???

Water for Elephants was hands down the BEST BOOK I have read in a few years. YEARS PEOPLE!!!! Sure I love my standard Nicholas Sparks reads, but this book deserves a place on the shelf forever. I am usually one that gives away my books after reading them. Not this one! Last book I read this good was the Time Travelers Wife a few yrs back.

I am super picky about books. About as picky as I am with Jewelry if you read my post the day before last hehe If that gives you any indication.

This book was a page turner. I couldn't put it down. Took me 2 days. I am now completely amped for the movie. I hope Reese and Rob don't disappoint. And I hope movie makers don't cut the good stuff out!

If you LOVE animals, All Animals, like I do, then you'll love this book. If you love a little romance and deception, then you'll love this book. If you appreciate a good glimpse into history (IE the great depression) then you'll love this book. Now go get off that tush and buy yourself a copy!

I am loving my 4th Graders Aboriginal Frogs.

They make me proud when they want to! :)

  6. YAY! I'm so glad this is on your Wednesday Love list! I am totally obsessed with this book (I think I've read it about 4 times already) and it's by far my favorite of all time. While reading is first choice, I recommend finding the audio book too. The voices are perfectly matched and it really breathes a different life into the story. I'm so pumped for the movie and even did a post about it a few weeks ago! http://splifeinthesetimes.blogspot.com/2011/03/cant-wait-cant-wait-cant-wait.html
SO happy you love it too! We'll have to link up for a review once we see it!

  15. I finished this book a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved it!!! I picked this book to be the March book club book for my group so I was pretty nervous, but it certainly did not disappoint. I can't wait to see the movie!
I didn't think this book was slow at all. Like you, I often pick slow books and it drives me nuts. I'm the type that has to find a book very interesting from page 1 or I have a hard time trying to read it. Love Water For Elephants sooo much!!!!
Have you read The Help yet? That was another one I loved recently.

  16. I am excited to hear a good review of this book. I picked it up and debated about buying it for about an hour as I strolled around B&N last weekend. In the end I didn't purchase it because of a bad review of the book I had read. Now I think I'll have to go back and grab it in time to read it before the movie comes out!

  30. I absolutely LOVED Water for Elephants!! It was such a great read, I couldn't put it down and read it in a day and a half. I am the worst about reading the book, then watching the movie and not loving the movie as much as the book (does that make sense?) so my hubby told me I can't say anything in the shape of, "The book was so much better!" when we watch a movie that was a book first LOL I hope the movie is atleast close to being as good as the book.
