If I had a quarter...

For every time a random person or even so called friend gave me shit for having summers off...

READ THIS CAREFULLY!

And please, shut it the next time you want to make a remark about teachers have such an easy job!

  1. SOOOOOOOOO true, on so many levels! People just don't get it until they actually work in a school, which is why all of these politicians making decisions about the education system should have to put in some time teaching to REALLY get it.

  2. I thought about changing my major to Elementary Education once. Then I remembered that I don't get to talk to my sister from August-May because she's up at 5:30 every morning and doesn't get home until 6 or 7 in the evening.

    I have mega-respect for you teachers. You don't get paid enough for what you do. I certainly couldn't hack it!

  5. You will never hear me giving you all a hard time for the following:
    1. Most of my girlfriends are teachers.
    2. It's amazing what you all put up with during the course of the day and still want to have kids of your own {KIDDING, haha}
    3. You are shaping/educating the future leaders of the world...you're up there with brain surgeons {the Doogie Howsers} in my book.

  7. I thought about being a teacher. I still think I would love it. I'd like to teach civics :)

    Until I realize that I may actually work less lawyering than I would teaching!

  9. Both my sisters are teachers and are the same way - thank goodness for all of the dedication you have! not all teachers have the passion and care enough to make a difference to students in the way you do!!
