1st & 2nd graders hard at work:)

My Second Graders today, finished there Arizona Sunsets. They had to learn all about Silhouettes and looked at lots of pictures of these! Then we talked a lot about "Blending" red and yellow to create orange. I had to show them how to blend with water.

 What do ya think?

First grade finished their Laurel Burch Cats. This is the only class I let paint! My other two first grade classes were very antsy and not good listeners so I only let them use markers.

So after Laurel Burch Cats, we started Fall trees today. We talked a lot about texture. I asked students to tell me what a tree feels like. They then took their papers over to the wall to rub some "texture" to their tree trunks.
