Nurses make the worst patients!

How was everyone's weekend?

I spent my saturday night in the ER. I was not the patient. Mister Wonderful was.

Even fitness experts can get hurt from time to time at the gym. Mister Wonderful is sadly no exception to this rule.

He was warming up and doing some squats/deadlifts with a bar on his back (No weight added yet) and after the third squat, his lower back basically went out.

He's done this before but not to the severity where he couldn't walk or sit up. Not to the point where he (we) made the decision to go to the ER. Of course the irony is that Mister Wonderful is an RN so it was quite hilarious for another RN to be examining him when he is a nurse himself!

And did I mention Nurses make the WORST patients? Because they do!

I just get super nervous when he's the one sick, because someone that weighs over 200 lbs that can't walk, how is one suppose to lift or carry him to help him around? I can't even lift his muscular leg without it crushing me on the couch.

So for now, lots of rest, and I get to be the nurse to the "nurse".

  1. Not good! Hope he fells better soon!

  2. ah =[ i hope he feels better soon!

  3. Oh geez! Poor guy! So sorry this happened. Hope he's back on his feet in no time, but he's definitely got a great nurse taking care of him right now. :) I think men make the worst patients already.. so I couldn't even imagine a man AND a nurse. Eek! ha! :) You're going to need a cocktail or two, sister. Sending well wishes to Mister Wonderful! :)

  4. Awe I hope he gets better soon :-) take care of your man girl! And for real about trying to even lift a leg off of you on the couch lol . Those alone I think weigh 50 lbs!

  5. Uh-Oh! I hope a couple of days of bedrest gets him right again.

  6. OH NO!!! that is no good, I hope he heals quickly! and so funny about nurses being the worst patients...I feel like men in general are whiney when it comes to stuff like that haha or at least my hubby!

  7. Oh no! I hope he feels better soon!

  8. I totally agree! And I didn't know your man was a nurse! I hope he's feeling better.
