Girl Crush Marisa love!

I am so happy to have seen this fabulous update on my uber girl crush Marisa Miller.

She' expecting!!!!

Here's the little blurb from People Magazine entire article is taken from HERE

Model mama!
Marisa Miller and her husband, record producerGriffin Guess, 32, are expecting their first child, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.
“My husband and I have always looked forward to starting a family, but also wanted to enjoy just being married,” says the former Victoria’s Secret model and Sports Illustrated cover girl.
“After six years together, the time feels right. My sisters and I will all have babies in 2012 so it’s such an exciting time.”
Due in late fall, Miller, 33, is relishing her pregnancy — and embracing her changing body.

“Even though I’m exhausted, gaining weight and breaking out from all the hormones, I’m really enjoying my pregnancy. It’s all for the baby so I couldn’t care less!” she says.
The face of Harley Davidson and spokesperson for the NFL, Miller also co-stars in the upcoming film R.I.P.D. with Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges.

Reasons why I adore her:

*She is proof that it's okay to wait to have a baby till 33! :)
*She looks amazing
*She has terrific work out regimes
*She was once married; divorced now married again proof that even the most beautiful women aren't completely perfect or come from perfect worlds.
*To die for hair! Need I say more?

Vows

I spent a good part of the weekend watching countless videos on Vimeo and such to gather inspiration for writing my wedding vows to Mister Wonderful. I figured out what I wanted to write in a card to him the day of the wedding. I found this ADORABLE card on Etsy that I think I'll purchase for him!

(image is linked above)

If only this type of videography was a part of our wedding package!

I love her hair in this video! :)

This is still hands down my fave wedding video I've seen.

Gene + Jill // Two Pease in a Pod from capture studios on Vimeo.

Any suggestions or sites I could check to get some writing inspiration for wedding vows?

I suppose when in doubt I could just say what they said in "The Vow", no? hehe

Aspen Funnies

See, apparently laying IN or ON the bed isn't good enough for miss priss. She has to extend her self off the bed and onto the blanket on the floor!

Only my dog I tell ya!

Nurses make the worst patients!

How was everyone's weekend?

I spent my saturday night in the ER. I was not the patient. Mister Wonderful was.

Even fitness experts can get hurt from time to time at the gym. Mister Wonderful is sadly no exception to this rule.

He was warming up and doing some squats/deadlifts with a bar on his back (No weight added yet) and after the third squat, his lower back basically went out.

He's done this before but not to the severity where he couldn't walk or sit up. Not to the point where he (we) made the decision to go to the ER. Of course the irony is that Mister Wonderful is an RN so it was quite hilarious for another RN to be examining him when he is a nurse himself!

And did I mention Nurses make the WORST patients? Because they do!

I just get super nervous when he's the one sick, because someone that weighs over 200 lbs that can't walk, how is one suppose to lift or carry him to help him around? I can't even lift his muscular leg without it crushing me on the couch.

So for now, lots of rest, and I get to be the nurse to the "nurse".

Bachelorette Recap

Between wedding stuff and buying our first home, needless to "notice" that blogging has taken the back seat for me lately! Sorry bout that friends! It's been the first time in 3 years of blogging for me that I've really been not a consistent blogger. I swore the whole life got in the way bit would never happen to me, but somehow it has!

I used to be the bachelor/bachelorette recap guru and have been totally slacking about writing my posts, however I am still watching each Monday night!

Sayonara to Kalen.

Anyone that makes a joke or says anything about kids as "baggage" deserves the tongue lashing they get, esp from Emily! They were never a fit in my book!

There is something funny about the contestant Ryan.

Easy on the eyes yes, but he just doesn't seem to have the "dad" potential that I think Emily is looking for. He rubs a lot of the guys the wrong way, and I just feel like he's like a Kalen, but older and meaner.

I read a rumor in a mag

did y'all read this?
Life & Style Magazine reported that Roberto Martinez, ex fiance' to Ali Fedotowsky will be the next bachelor!
I follow Ali on FB and twitter, and she watches the show religiously. I can't see her watching her ex fiance' considering how painful their romance/breakup/engagement really was.

Oh and remember 2 seasons ago on Ashley H. season I found that Bad boy Bentley's ex wife had a blog?

Can still read it here
(it no longer has pics of Bentley and her up like it did a year ago when I first found it!)

I found out that the adorable Sean
photo from here

(who's currently a top contender for Emily Maynard right now on the show) has a sister who blogs! Her name is Shay and you can read her blog here (she does blog about Sean and being on the show! cool points in my book!) She has the cutest kiddos with awesome names!

Book Review!

I finally read my first book over summer break!

Here's what Goodreads had to say about it ( A little blurb if you will)

"When Eden was ten years old she found her father, David, bleeding out on the bathroom floor. The suicide attempt led to her parents’ divorce, and David all but vanished from Eden’s life. Since childhood, she has heard from him only rarely, just enough to know he’s been living on the streets and struggling with mental illness. But lately, there has been no word at all.
Now in her thirties, Eden decides to go look for her father, so she can forgive him at last, and finally move forward. When her search uncovers other painful truths—not only the secrets her mother has kept from her, but also the agonizing question of whether David, after all these years, even wants to be found—Eden is forced to decide just how far she’ll go in the name of love."

This was a decent read, I wasn't bored reading it. I found this browsing on Goodreads and thought I would give it a shot!

Tar-jay Love

I finally got my Target debit card in the mail a week ago. (Only took bout 2 weeks to receive)

Best decision I ever made was getting it.

On our registry, I had put some "Wishful thinking" items (This means uber expensive gifts that parents are suppose to buy you for your wedding)

That have been on my want list for our house for over a year or so now.

The top picture of the pottery barn bench and shelf has been on my want list for quite some time. But at such a high price tag, I knew it was going to remain as an un purchased item for a while!

Mister Wonderful doesn't like that I always throw my purse on the kitchen table with all my other bags and such. I've had no where to put them but on the table, so this bench and shelf will help tremendously!

I was blog hopping the other day and I saw over at Grin and Barrett blog that this blogger had found pretty much the exact same bench at Target for a fraction of the price!

So with all our bridal gift cards left, and my b day check from my folks, I saved a ton of money and was able to cross off those wish list items because I was able to purchase pretty much the same dang thing from Target! And the Target bench even threw in the baskets and bench pad for FREE!

Oh and did I mention that the bench is on sale even cheaper than the price show above? Tis true!

The free shipping on the furniture because of my Target debit card was a HUGE BONUS.

Like I said, best decision I ever made!

Current to do list: Buy a Home

I've been so busy lately! On top of just turning newly 30, the fiance' and I have been scouring around touring homes for sale!

One of the reasons I have been so MIA on blogger, is just simply because there was a really big chance that Mister Wonderful and I were going to be moving to Cleveland, OH (his stomping grounds where he came from before moving out here to be with me)

To wrap up a really long story, the job went to someone else, and MW decided to stay in AZ a wee bit longer. Long enough to consider buying a home!

No more renting say what?!?!

I've been a renter my whole life. In fact, on a teaching salary, that is all one will ever be in the state of AZ if you are not married with the help of another income!

The housing market in AZ is not like the rest of the world right now. Houses are going FAST. Like they get listed online for ONE DAY and bam have a contract within 24 hours. This has been the case a few times already for us. Talk about discouraging!!!

So as if our destination wedding wasn't enough, we thought we'd add "potential home owners" to the list of things to do!

Goodbye 20s Hello newly 30!

I'm officially 30 as of today! Eeeek! Where has the time gone?!?!

I had Mister Wonderful take my usual photo op with my fur child :)

We ate at the Compass Grill downtown Phoenix. It's famous restaurant that rotates in a circle so you get a whole view of the city while you eat. You almost feel like you are on a ride!

"Take in a 360 degree view of the spectacular Valley of the Sun in the only revolving roof top restaurant in Phoenix. For over 30 years, Hyatt Regency Phoenix's award-winning Compass Arizona Grill has delivered stellar cuisine with unparalleled service. Experience seasonal menus that invite adventurous diners to return for the most current coupling of entrées and wines. Set the stage for scintillating Phoenix nightlife with a table by the window in our revolving rooftop lounge featuring unsurpassed views of the Valley of the Sun." (Little blurb taken directly from their website about the amazing restaurant!)

Mister Wonderful and I had our first date here!!!

The restaurant sits at the top of the Hyatt and is in the circular part that rotates around! :)
Here's my outfit for my big 3-0! :)
Dress is from Tobi
And I got that purse I asked y'all about turquoise vs the shark grey!

And thank you Erin over at Living in Yellow for the amazing video app that helped us have a lil fun in the car on the way to dinner!
