2015

large
I have felt very guilty for neglecting this little old blog of mine. Truth be told, I just really felt like I had run out of things to say or write about. I am relieved that 2014 is over. It was a little bit of a bumpy ride there towards the end. Here's to smoother sailing in 2015! I am not one to makes new years resolutions, but if I had to really hone in on things that I'd like to work on, here's my list:

1. Less mindless social media surfing.

2. MORE reading. I was short only a few books of my goodreads reading challenge and I’ll be
dang if I let that happen again this year! I was able to squeeze in 1 book over Christmas
break! This year’s reading list/goal is 25 books I think.

3. I’d like to be more consistent with working out at least 4 times a week , There are some days where teaching just wipes me out, and it’s a war against myself to convince myself to go after a hard days work.

4. I’d also like to save more money, and not get sucked into all the fashion instagrammers who make me feel like I must own everything they wear. Life is not a competition, and let’s face it, I ‘m a teacher on a salary that is never going to get a raise, so reality is it is wise not to try and compete. Things are just things, and and the end of the day, if my home burnt down, none of those “things” would matter.

Girl, I feel you on #1 and #4!! I struggle with both all the time. I'm excited to see what 2015 has in store for you!

  3. I am with you on the working out. I am worried about finding my balance. By the end of teaching 44 3rd graders, I literally just want to go home and hug my couch. I'm sure you feel the same after working with all of your sweet kiddos too. I know I'm just going to have to make myself do it as soon as I get home without one glance towards the TV.

  4. I feel you about the fashion bloggers.. I find it best to just unfollow them and the shopping sites on instagram. There's always the urge to shop and if it's not there then I won't do it.

  5. Definitely agree with the fashion blogger part! Over the past few months I made a major move of going through and unfollowing them all! ( except two or three favs). I don't have that kind of money to spend on clothes and im just sick of looking at it! lol

Yes, couldn't agree more with impulse buying from Instagram!
