Blue Valentine Not a Couples movie!

Since Mister Wonderful is in Vegas with his fam ( I had to work all week with no sick days left so I couldn't go with him) I decided to go and see Blue Valentine alone.

Let me first tell you right away this is NOT a movie you go see with your husband/wife boyfriend/girlfriend!!!!

Why do I say this? The whole film is about how Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling's relationship/marriage becomes unraveled and fall out of love. Yeah be my guest if you think that's a good idea to go and take your man to see! ha!

The movie was VERY VERY VERY graphic and had lots of nudity and sex scenes. UGH! Michelle Williams bares all (her chest and her ass) which I didn't really need to see what I already knew--poor girl has some really saggy ta tas!

The movie wasn't slow, but not really all that entertaining..... it was just kinda meh........if you catch my drift. I can tell why it is up for all these awards, but I felt like I was watching Precious!!! (for any of you that have seen that movie that Oprah pushed then you know what I am getting at! minus the incest and violence!)

In a nutshell, see alone or with a gal pal, not with your man~~~~!

On a side note, my apologies for not commenting a lot or even posting a lot lately! All this week I had conferences at school, and thus, no time for anything other than eat sleep walk Aspen! LOL

Welcome new followers!!! If I haven't swung by to say hi yet, Give me sometime I'll do my best to mosey on over!

Is anyone else NOT celebrating V day? Yes I have a sweetie whom I adore, but he's working I work on Monday and thus we wanna save $$$ not spend it..so we are kinda skipping the whole V day bit...

  1. You know, I heard the same exact thing about that movie. That is can be good, but that it is really depressing. However, with Ryan Goseling in it, I still kind of want to see it.

And Liam and I were thinking about doing the same thing about Valentine's day since its on a Monday...though we may celebrate on Sunday night with a home cooked meal:)

  3. I'm so glad someone told me about the movie before I went with BF to see it! I'm not quite sure that I really want to pay to see someone's love life unravel!

  9. I'm glad you wrote this little review on Blue Valentine! I HATE it when I go to see a movie and it turns out to be like what this one seems to be. We're going to the movies tonight, and definitely won't be choosing this one. Thanks lady! ;)
