Together, not together, married, still married, then divorced.

I saw this idea on many others blog, I think the post is suppose to be Favorite Fridays and yet today is sunday. Whoops. There are no rules to blogging right? I mean write what you want when you want!
So after glancing at Life Love and Puppy Prints Blog, I decided to come up with my own list of Celeb break ups.

Here's my list:
Current 2010 Break Ups
Jake and Vienna. I don't think anyone can say they weren't surprised with this one!

Even Zach Morris from Saved By the Bell couldn't keep it together....they were married for 13 years!

Reality stars from The Housewives of Orange County Simon and Tamra. Married 11 yrs. 3 children together.

Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carey. Boo. Thumbs Down. They seemed like a terrific match!

The saddest break up of my time (in my opinion) is...
Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey. I was devastated when I found out about all the rumors of her not wearing her ring in the tabloids were true and then BAM! They split. I owned all the DVDs of their Newlyweds series.
I don't think the filming of them is what hurt the relationship, they have always been on camera for their careers. I think when Jess filmed Dukes of Hazzard and all those rumors surfaced of her and Johnny Knoxville surfaced really pushed Nick whose career was going down, really did them in. Maybe I thought they stood a chance because she waited all those years for Nick to be her 'first'. Maybe the fact that she ripped out a page in her journal, and gave it as a wedding gift to Nick about how the day they met, she wrote that she had met the man she was going to marry. I was touched and drawn by this couple. Sigh.
Well, Lachey, he probably feels Jess got what she deserved. Her dog got snatched in hollywood, the last 2 to 3 guys Jess has been with bailed on her, and her country career plummented into the depths of no return.  Tear. So sad.  They would have made beautiful babies! haha.

I am H A P P Y  to list the below couples in Hollywood today that are STILL very much in love and very much together.

Annette Benning and Warren Beatty.  Married 22 years. ( I accidentally typed 27 there bec I was tired my bad) Warren was known for being the everlasting bachelor.  Who would have thought his marriage would last.  It’s nice to see that Hollywood is capable of having marriages that have lasted the test of time.

Kevin Bacon & Kyra Sedgwick. 22 yrs of marriage. I think they are awesome. She has a hit tv show, and he plays music in a band now when he doesn't do little acting bits. They are never in the spotlight at all which is terrific.
John Travolta & Kelly Preston. Married 18 yrs. And through all their recent turmoil of the loss of their son Jett, they are still so strong.

Paul Neuman & JoanneWoodward. Married 50 years! ! !

Paul said this on marriage and I couldn't agree more!
Paul Newman on marriage: “I’ve repeatedly said that for people who have as little in common as Joanne and myself, we have an uncommonly good marriage. We are actors. We make pictures and that’s about all we have in common. Maybe that’s enough. Wives shouldn’t feel obligated to accompany their husbands to a ball game, husbands do look a bit silly attending morning coffee breaks with the neighborhood wives when most men are out at work. Husbands and wives should have separate interests, cultivate different sets of friends and not impose on the other ... You can’t spend a lifetime breathing down each other’s necks ... We are very, very different people and yet somehow we fed off those varied differences and instead of separating us, it has made the whole bond a lot stronger.”

His wife said this:
Joanne on love and marriage: "Sexiness wears thin after a while and beauty fades, but to be married to a man who makes you laugh every day, ah, now that's a real treat."

  1. 1. Warren Beatty and Annette Bening were married in 1992, so that's 18 years.
    2. You do know that Paul Newman is dead, right?

  4. I agree that Nick and Jessica was a tragic breakup. I feel like they have both been trying aimlessly to find themselves since they split and they were best together!
