LOST

I finished the series LOST a few nights ago. 

I loved seasons 1-4

Seasons 5 & 6 TOTALLY no pun intended "LOST" me...

I had no idea what was going on. The whole what time or era are we in really threw me and I wasn't sure what was "reality" and what was past? 

Hard to explain if you haven't watched it. 
As with most television series, I think the show got "weird" just simply because they were running out of story lines.

Jack & Kate were my fave love story on the show. As much as they threw Sawyer into the mix, I was so relieved to watch the ending which "eludes" that they (Jack & Kate) end up together at the very end. 

Sawyer was definitely my fave character on the show. He had so many quick whit funny lines I found myself cracking up!

Dear Bloggers,

I need your help!

Last night, my wedding band arrived. And as you can see, it's a little "Off" with lining up with my engagement ring! There is a space. I am seeing this seems to be due to the prongs on my engagement ring, that the prongs are a little out and thus pushes anything next to the band away! :( :(

I don't know what type of band I am suppose to be looking for to correct this problem! I know there are several of you that have a similar engagement ring to mine, and was wondering how does one correct this problem!?

Accessory Hunt

I've been on a necklace kick lately. Trying to find all the perfect accessories for all my honeymoon dresses!

I got a blue what's known as a bibb necklace or make a statement tear drop necklace the other day. 

Also have one in coral. 

Make a statement yes they sure do that. All my students on our last day of summer school wanted to wear it! I had woman in Hobby Lobby ask me if I made it? 

Um no? 

This necklace is online at several boutiques, but has been sold out of the color yellow for a while. Thank you EBAY for allowing me to find it and buy it!

And I am STILL waiting for this gem to arrive sadly the seller is in CHINA so I have to be super patient!

Summer Tune

I am OFFICIALLY on my summer break! teaching summer school ended for me on Thursday, so I get a little R & R !

 The Lorax. My kiddos watched the ORIGINAL Dr. Suess Cartoon on YouTube since the new movie isn't out on video yet. Plus the original is only 26 min long! 

My 1st/2nd 2nd/3rd combo classes made these. 

 Rizzi Buildings

Students learned about the artist James Rizzi.

Google if you are not familiar with his work! 

This lesson had a ton of vocab and discussion about cities!

All grades did this one.

 4th/5th Grade I stepped it up a bit with some Literature Enrichment. Students learned about the Quetzal Birds. We then read the poem by Maya Angelou and discussed what it meant. 

Students also looked at examples of bird cages and had to draw their own. Birds and cages were drawn on separate pieces of paper.

Birds were colored/shaded with Oil Pastels

This one is my FAVE! a second grader drew this!!! :) His talent astounds me!

And there you have it friends! No more art posts till school resumes (I'd say Sept you can expect art to re show up!)

Friday Funnies

Does this get any more accurate? I think not! I know to many people or women, who claim they don't gossip or talk bad about others behind their back, and would probably twist the word gossip into this! 

I'd like to think I don't gossip, rather I just say it to your face.

I've been told a time or two I have to work on it.  Hey, at least I admit it! I don't pretend anything! 

Band Bling!

So yesterday on Twitter and Instagram, I took a poll, just for curiosity sake to see what other gals would choose for a wedding band. Here were the options.

I picked both of these options, but ultimately the final decision was my fiance's since he was the one buying it! :)

Option B Won! 

I was leaning towards B because I'm pretty adamant about not wanting a thick band...a thicker band will push my engagement ring up higher on my finger, and thus I don't think it would fit my finger right anymore. I also didn't want a band that would take away from my ring either. Option B was very dainty and very me. So Glad the Mister has great taste as do all you instagrammers!

Danielle over at Butler Party of 2 nominated me for this blog award and since I had nothing planned for today's blog post, I figured, why not!?

1. What is your current beauty obsession?

I'd have to say I've been on a quest to find the perfect liquid eyeliner that LASTS the whole day! I'm also really loving my new mascaras Cover Girl Lash Blast combined with Maybelline's Lash Stiletto! 

2. What is one beauty item you wish you owned?

Hmmm that's tough. I don't really feel I am "missing" any beauty item from my daily routine.

3. What kind of posts are you favorite to read and write?

I read a wide variety of blog posts. What I can tell you is that I don't read/follow any cooking only blogs, since I don't do any cooking currently! (that's my fiance's department since he loves to cook.) I also don't follow to many "mommy" blogs...you know the ones that only post pics of daily of their kids. I'm just not there yet in my life, and thus kinda skim through those in my google reader. Eventually one day I'll probably become one of those bloggers, but for now, I'm not! :) 

I USED to write about anything under the sun, but have kinda filtered some of my posts, since saying how you "really feel" is kinda double sided in the blog world. Most can attest to if you aren't blogging about Happy go lucky topics such as purchases clothes etc etc then most readers DONT comment. You write anything to serious then you become one of "those" controversial bloggers.  

4. What inspired you to become a blogger?

I don't think anyone or thing "Inspired" me to become one, I just was looking to build relationships/contact with other fellow art teachers to build up my lessons!

5. What color nail polish are you wearing right now?

Ha! I very rarely paint my nails during the school year since they get destroyed from teaching art, but currently they are painted!

Name Change!

I changed the name of my blog---- AGAIN! 

To be honest, I keep finding many blogs titled, "Happiness Is" this or that and blah blah.... 

So I decided to do what I should of done in the beginning--keep it the same as my twitter name.

My Oh My--That's me on twitter. I've never changed my name on twitter the entire 2 plus years I've had it and thus don't plan to change my name on blogger anymore. Same names just make it easier for ppl to find one on social networking anyway. 

Now if only the user on instagram who took my MYOHMY would give up her name, then life would be good! 

Please, if you have my blog in your blog roll/list, would y'all be so kind to take a minute to update my correct new name as well as grab my new button?
