Other than watching The Bachelor, my guilty pleasure on Netflix has been catching up on an old childhood favorite series of mine. When I was younger, I used to love reading about the romance between Anne & Gilbert from
Anne of Green Gables
I was enthralled their love hate relationship (Gil secretly loving Anne Anne never knowing) this kept my nose in the series till I finished all the books.
I got hooked on the Avonlea series. Which is what I'm watching now. I love Sarah Polley. She's great.
Anyone else a fan of Lucy Maude Montgomery's books? :) Meagan Follows is the only actress I think ever fit to even play Anne in the series. So great!
I LOVE Anne of Green Gables! I never read the books but the movies are my faves :) The Avonlea series are great too!

ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of Anne's House of Dreams and it's been put on hold. I'm reading them for the first time and they were an instant favorite. I can't wait to see the film version.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved this series when I was younger. I used to tape it whenever it was on the Disney channel so I could watch it over and over. I caught an episode not too long ago and fell in love all over again. What ever happened to shows like this?!

I tried reading the book years and years ago but it didn't work out =/ I have also never seen the movies...don't hate me! =(

ReplyDeleteNo lie, the setting for Anne of Green Gables is where my family had our summer house. Literally is one of the most amazing places on earth....Prince Edward Island is my happy place. And the thing is, every summer the one thing I would want to do is go see Anne of Green Gables at the theater while there.
