I'm getting the Itch!
What itch is that you ask? The I-NEED-A-NEW-CAMERA-ITCH. I'm horrible I know. Ha. But first anyone that knows me, ( a few of you bloggers do) should know my area of concentration on college was Photography. Film photography. So the digital thing was just bursting onto the scene as I finished school. It's heart breaking to me that film is pretty much obsolete. Being in a darkroom is unheard of. And developing prints the old school way is just practically dead.
I collect vintage cameras. I have for the last 5 years. I still have and use my film cameras from college which I have blogged about before.
I have gone through 3 digital cameras.
I had a canon first,
Not this exact model, I can't remember the exact model I had, but it was big and bulky and heavy.
a Kodak duel lens as my second,
and my 3rd right now is a Nikon
This exact one
which I have to be honest about, I think it takes SHITTY pictures. A Nikon take shitty pictures? How can that be???
Anyone who truly knows photo, knows MEGAPIXELS has nothing to do with photo other than how big you wanna blow the print up. Got that? So I love hearing people say well how many megapixels does it have? DOES IT REALLY MATTER? Are you planning on printing larger than life prints? I doubt it! What I did/do love about my point and shoot camera now is unlike most digital little cameras out there, most have 3x zoom mine has 7x. Very nice. But other than that, I think my pictures often turn out pixelated looking. I think the images look unclear and trust me, I have played with all the settings numerous times and the pics still don't look so hot. I don't know.
So for the last year, I have been asking around. Many of you fellow bloggers I have enquired to, asking what fabulous cameras you use to capture your beautiful moments with. The majority have said you own a DSLR.... aka a big girl camera. the kind that professionals use! :)
A very good girlfriend of mine works for Lifetouch photography, and a fellow blogger Emily P. :) both seem to highly recommend this latest model of Nikon D3100. I think this may be the one!
I am scared and nervous all at the same time. Mister Wonderful asked me when I wanted to get this. He of course wants me to pay off my Credit Cards first. Which I fully plan on doing....well at least getting one paid off, but only to turn around and get this camera! Is that bad? hehe
And of course every camera needs a camera bag.....which most are super ugly and boring that I've seen. I found this one on Etsy..
I will ask again, What do you all Use as your camera? even with point and shoot ones. List away because I truly do want to know!

Book Review
I finally finished my current book, Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks.
Of course, as I expected it was really good. I don't think I've ever read a book by him I did't like. Seriously. He's my top author. I mean I by all the mans books in hardback as a treat.
Now I need something else to read, any suggestions?

Opinions Please!
Well.........I watched this infomercial on this and I can say I read DOZENS of really good reviews online about this product too. How many of you own this?
I am a Bachelor show addict LOL it's my guilty reality tv show pleasure. How many of you ladies will be right there with me watching?
Shark No Loss of Suction Navigator Lift Away Upright Vac
It's half the price of a Dyson, which I will be honest and say, I do own one. This one to be exact.
yes, it did cost me around 500-600 dollars. I bought mine Five years ago. And I do feel, that mine has kinda kicked the bucket. It makes an annoying sound, hair Constantly gets wrapped around the front belt thing, which after watching the shark vacuum, it guarantees not to do that! hmmmmmmmm Plus if I buy the shark from bed bath and beyond with the 20% coupon off, I can save like thirty bucks. Dilemma?
Well....technically my vacuum still 'works' BUT I am truly convinced it doesn't pick up half the things it should anymore. Plus Mister Wonderful will be super mad at me if I put something else on the CC...since we are trying so hard to pay them off from X mas expenses and dog vet bills....
I have loved my Dyson. But I think about a year ago, I sucked up something I shouldn't of, and it really hasn't picked up or clean the carpet like it should since.
Are they worth 500 dollars? Eh....I mean it has lasted me 5 years. That's like a lifetime in vacuum years no?
On another note..........
I am super excited for this to start Jan 3rd I Believe on ABC!!!!!
Brad Womack -- a changed man -- returns in a "Bachelor" first to find love again when ABC's hit romance reality series, The Bachelor, returns on January 3, 2011.
Womack, 38, did the unthinkable by most fans' standards and did not choose either Jenni Croft or DeAnna Pappas on his finale back in November 2007. The day after it taped was the loneliest day of his life. Disappointed in himself for wasting this great opportunity, Brad kept to himself for two to three months afterwards. Unaware at the time that he really wasn't ready to commit to a relationship and not knowing the reasons why, his fears and worries were validated when a media firestorm and viewers from across the country let him know what they were thinking. With that, he started therapy to learn what problems were confronting him. He desperately wanted to fix whatever it was that wasn't allowing him to let people into his life.
For the last three years Brad has undergone intensive therapy, which took him on a painful journey of self-discovery that led to personal revelations about his commitment issues. Delving deep into his family history and his unresolved feelings about his absent father, Brad was able to gain an understanding of why he would push people away as soon as they developed feelings for him. In the meantime, he put his head down and worked – buying and selling three companies and building one from the ground up. And although he has dated during this time, he hasn't had a serious relationship. Adding to his sense of urgency are his two brothers: Chad, his twin, is not only married now but has a daughter; and Wes, his younger brother, who also is married, now has a little boy and girl. Brad is the last one without a wife or family.
Brad is convinced he is a better person in many ways than he was in 2007. Get ready to see a changed, revitalized man who is still optimistic and confident about finding love on "The Bachelor." He is more ready than ever to find a wife and start a family.

Gifts galore!
The big item that was on Mister Wonderful's list and mine was POTS AND PANS! we were in dire need of them. We were using just 4 pots that I had bought back in college and let me tell you I was to embarrassed to take pictures of how badly they were scratched to post on here, so just trust me when I say they needed to go and we graciously welcomed these into our kitchen cupboards!

Hopefully everyone had a terrific Christmas. It was just Mister Wonderful, Aspen & I ! My parents live in CO, my brother in MT, and all of Mister Wonderful's family lives in Ohio, which is where all the rest of my fam lives too.
My step mom's mom lives in AZ though, so we went over to her house for Christmas Dinner. It was delicious!

Dogs Have it Right!
things we can learn from dogs:
1. Run, romp and play daily
2. Never pretend to be something you're not
3. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy
4. Eat with gusto and enthusiasm
5. Take naps and stretch before rising
6. When loved ones come home, always run to greet them
7. Let others know when they've invaded your territory
8. Be loyal
9. When it's in your best interest, practice obedience
10. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it
11. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle gently
12. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
13. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree
14. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride
15. When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body
16.No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout....run right back and make friends
17. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
18. Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Movie Review
Black Swan.
Anyone else see it? I went alone. Mister Wonderful was working, and all my gal pals are out of town for X mas obviously so I went solo. To be quite honest, I don't know how I feel about this film!
Ballet is such a beautiful thing, it was great to see the dancing, all things dancers endure/go through..but man this was a dark role for Natalie. I wasn't used to seeing her so well......dirty? She definitely broke her good girl role!
